Our Story
We are descendants of Azorean immigrants that came to the United States in the early 1900's. Initially immigrating to the United States through Boston, Massachusetts and on to the San Francisco Bay area of California. Our ancestors finally settled in the Central Valley of California, primarily in the Hughson, Turlock, and Modesto areas. Today the descendants of the Bettencourt, Avila, and Bettincourt families live throughout the United States, with most living in the western states of California, Arizona, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
